I completely feel this on a personal level. When I first joined Newgrounds, I did it mostly because a friend recommended it to me. However, the rise in popularity of FNF has encouraged me to break out of my timid shell and be more active on here. Honestly, this site is paradise for artists. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing a new comment, new followers, or having your art front paged. It hits different because on other social medias like Twitter and Instagram, it doesn't have that same rewarding feeling that Newgrounds offers.
I'm proud of you for doing so well on here! NG was intimidating for me at first, but it's so fun and eye-opening to learn about the lore, the environment, the people, and the list goes on and on. The people on this site are sweeter than ever and it's a wholesome, welcoming environment. I'm happy that the veterans of NG are welcoming us new users with open arms. It's heartwarming.
I look forward to seeing more stuff that you post! Whether it be FNF or not, I enjoy your art and I'm happy to have found you here. Thanks for sharing your story, it was a good read!
