Hey all,
Officially done with everything for this quarter... No, this YEAR. Jeez it was a lot... I was working my ASS OFF EVERY DAY on my classes. If you've had the SCAD ANIM/ITGM experience then you know.
With that out of the way, I made some awesome stuff while I was gone so here's me showing it off:
Highlights!!!!
First, Game Art!!! I made a lot of cool crap in that class
I made all the models in Maya and then laid it all out in Unreal Engine. To be honest I didn't expect to like it, but Unreal is alright I guess.
And here's a cool stylized landscape I made:
Again, everything was modeled by me in Maya and laid out in Unreal... But unlike the subway I actually handpainted every texture for this one. I really wanted to stand out and make something super stylized and I am super happy with how it turned out!
Overall I am really happy with how I did in the class. I was really scared because I used Maya and Unreal in a previous class but I was so bad with them. I grew a lot from then, and I'm super happy at how quickly I was able to improve.
Next, Survey of Animation. Now to start off, I'm a Game Development major, not Animation. I took this class since it counts as an elective but also mostly just so I could get used to Maya a lot better. And boy it really paid off. I learned how to animate in 3D while doing so too!
I'll upload what I made for my final in that class later, but for now here's a scene from it. I reanimated a part from the live action ATHF episode using some human designs for the Aqua Teens I made a while back.
It's cool stuff and it was my first time animating in 3D... I'm really happy with how it turned out :)
But yea, that's the cool stuff I made this quarter. College has been really tough trying to balance work and getting stuff done in a reasonable time while making it look good but I think I'm getting a lot better at it.
Hopefully I will be able to make cool stuff over the summer. I'm thinking about learning how to animate in Blender since I know how to do it in Maya and since almost everything you do in Maya is like 1000 times easier in Blender I'm down to try and figure it out. Hope you all liked the stuff I showed off. If you didn't, then sorry man.
Until Next Time, See Ya
