Hello all,

Another month has passed, so here's another little update. This one's gonna be pretty short, though.

November Highlights:

• Made a Bluesky account, finally. You can find it here.
• I've been on winter break for a good while. Finals week was pretty hectic, but I managed to slip by. Me and my friends made a cool board game for our game dev final, here's some art I did for that :)

hell, here's some more school stuff. These are from my Drawing for SEQA class.

I barely share my school stuff because most of it is really boring lol. But this is some pretty cool stuff I did so I guess I can share it!

• Lastly, things have been pretty uneventful for me on this site, I know, but I will be in a few NG projects next month or so! One of them's been finished for a while and the other I'm still working on. The other one is gonna be really cool by the way. I am cooking very hard for it so look forward to it!

That's kind of it for this month, but I've been recovering from the hectic fall quarter and hopefully I'll start working on some more stuff in December. Take care everyone.

I'm gonna try something really experimental(and really stupid), it's something I've wanted to try for a while. I just wanna try logging and reflecting on what I've been doing or how I've been every so often. I like to write about stuff like this, so I wanna give it a try. And what better place to try it than Newgrounds.com. There probably is a better place but oh well...

October Highlights!

• School: I've been doing a buttload of schoolwork, which is why you rarely see stuff from me nowadays. I don't really have time to do anything else and when I do I usually just use it to do random stuff, like go out. I think college has improved my mental health a lot, I feel like I'm having fun even while doing work. My art's improved a lot from the classes I've taken. Most recently, I tried doing my first ever game jam! But our team dropped out at the last minute because we couldn't finish it in time... Though we really liked what we had so far so we might continue working on it during winter break and upload it to NG! Here's a tiny sneak peek of what we had:

It's a game featuring a character me and my friend came up with, Gummy the Alien. He was originally featured in a HTML site homework assignment we had for our game dev class. We wanted to do a point and click adventure sort of thing but we just became too burnt out by the last day. Maybe one day you'll all see it come to fruition. Maybe.

• I've also been learning how to 3D model. It's something I've wanted to try but I've always been too scared, until I was forced to use Maya in my Digital Design Aesthetics class. And let me tell you: I HATE MAYA!!!!! IT SUCKS!!!!! TREMENDOUSLY!!!!!!!!!! In fact, Maya pissed me off SO BAD that I started learning Blender out of pure spite, because I did actually want to enjoy 3D modeling but Maya just prevented me from doing so with how stupid it is. I've been enjoying it a lot! I've mostly just been doing low poly stuff since it's really easy, but hopefully I can figure out how to do some more complex stuff.

• Oh yeah, I binged the entirety of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. All 12 seasons. And the two movies. I really liked it! It's easily cemented itself as one of my favorite shows. For a long time, it was a show I knew about but I just never got around to watching it. Mostly because when I still had cable I was really little and my parents would not let me stay up past like, 10 pm at best and ATHF always aired at like midnight. Whenever I watched adult swim it was mostly me catching clips of King of the Hill or me binging Rick and Morty when I was still a huge fan of it. But Aqua Teen always intrigued me, even as a kid. I remember thinking from the title that it was some sort of action show that took place underwater, and then when I actually saw it from the TV guide I was confused as hell. It still keeps me up to this day. Where did the "Aqua" in the name come from? They're not aquatic. I guess I'll never know. Unless one of you actually happens to know why, and in that case please do tell me because I even looked on wikipedia to try and figure it out but they only answered the "Teen Hunger Force" part of the name.

Now I'm currently watching The Boondocks and I'll probably try watching Moral Orel and Venture Bros. over winter break. I'm on that adult swim kick.

• Halloween was fun. I begged my mom to get me the 50 dollar Peashooter costume from Amazon and I had a blast. A lot of people asked to take pictures of me and everything. The head was funny but I could like, barely see anything through the mesh on the mouth. Haha.

• One last thing, I decided to take an extended break from posting on my main account on Twitter for the sake of my mental health + to try and give myself more focus on what's more important. I always wanted to take some sort of hiatus, but seeing recent changes causing a mass exodus from the site finally gave me an excuse to actually do it. I do still post on my side account where I post stupid doodles though(@/childeater442). But most of my actual art will just be exclusively posted here for now, because I'm too much of a lazy bastard to make a bluesky. When they drop video support though I'll probably do it. lmfaooo

But that's it for this month. Hopefully I do these frequent enough to make you all believe I'm not dead.

hi guys i havent posted in a while and its not like because i forgot about this site or anything no its the complete opposite in fact

i usually reserve all my newgrounds post for art i actually see as, well, "actual art". recently i haven't made anything i consider "actual art". it's probably just cus im busy this summer working on getting into college and all that sweet stuff, and because i am suffering from art block. i feel lazy and unmotivated all the time and that's probably just all the burnout from school. i also think maybe i just set my expectations for myself too high... but i really don't like posting doodles and stuff on here because newgrounds themselves say that the art portal isnt really for that stuff. and so all my doodles go on my twitter and instagram just for that reason

so uhm yea thats all i wanted to say. i really wish i could post on this silly site again because i love it so much. but my posts here are getting more and more infrequent and it makes me sad. i love newgrounds. i want to show my support by actively contributing to it. but i'm sitting here complaining about how i can't instead. christ.

A little update on me, recently I started my second semester of my junior year of high school. I don't know what I'll do when I graduate, so I've been thinking of that jazz lately.

I've always sucked ass at pixel art, so I decided to try and hone my skills. So far, I've been having fun with it and I think I'm starting to find a style for it.

Happy late new year to you all. 2021 was pretty eventful. In fact, I made my very debut at the start of the year!

So uh yea, happy late anniversary to the beginning of a legend.

Plans for this year?

Uhhh I don't really know but I'd like to focus more on original content. I feel like I make way too much fanart, and the whole point of Newgrounds is to promote originality and creativity. You may have noticed that towards the end of 2021 I started making more OC content. I was kinda just experimenting a little and I'm glad you all like my creations. I plan to make more so stay tuned!!!!

2021 Recap (AKA my stupid super long origin story none of you are going to fukcing read)

2021 was the year I decided to man up and throw myself on stage. Originally, I made this account in April of 2020. This was just a few months before FNF came out, so why was I on Newgrounds? Well the truth is, I heard a lot of shit about this site from Twitter and a lot of people were trashing on this site. I decided for myself to see if this site was really as bad as everyone said. I've known about this site ever since I was around 10 years old-- my older brother literally introduced me to this site. All I know is that he played Mario Flash games on this site, but that was about all I knew about NG. So when I first landed here, I was kinda scared actually. It was at a time where I was really unconfident about my art, so I never posted anything. And eventually I kinda just left.

Cut to around November of 2020. The time when FNF got the week 2 update. That was when I first heard about this game. I checked it out, and I loved it. A lot. And so I started browsing Newgrounds. Slowly, but surely, I was finding content I liked and enjoying my time. But it wasn't until the very first day of the new year when I would finally step out and put myself out there. I made my first step. It was kinda scary, and I didn't know what people would think. But I posted more until one day my fate was sealed in stone: ninjamuffin99 himself scouted me and followed me on Newgrounds. I think I genuinely freaked out at that moment, it was so fucking surreal. And most of all, it inspired me to post more to Newgrounds, and get more involved. So, I decided to plunge myself into Newgrounds culture. I played Pico's School. I watched the Tankmen series. I played Alien Hominid, as well as Castle Crashers and BattleBlock(with some friends who played those games as kids and loved them to bits). I watched Madness Combat. I watched animations I watched as a child on Youtube, and went "holy shit it's on newgrounds???". And as I learned more and more about this site, I grew to love it more, too.

In February, I got my very first frontpage. It made me so happy I think I almost peed myself. Well not really, but you get the idea. But what made me even happier was that Tom Fulp himself noticed me! It made me really happy.

In April, FNF crashed the site. A day that will live in infamy. During that crisis, I made a funny little doodle that got 15,000 views and gave me 80+ notifications the day after:

This doodle is literally my most viewed art on Newgrounds. WHY.

Anyways, you see that little Tankman with the megaphone? What I would never anticipate was that Tom himself would ask if he could use it to advertise the supporter status:

I was freaking the hell out. Holy SHIT.

But I felt like using a rushed as hell doodle would be kinda meh, so I redrew it:

And, THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is the legend of the megaphone Tankman.

For a few months, he was on every single page on Newgrounds-- the frontpage, the portals, on every art, game, audio, and movie post, EVERYWHERE(unless you had supporter lol). And it made me feel like I was in this really crazy dream, but nah. It was REAL.

In May, nothing much happened, except I made my very first movie post on NG:

It managed to land not only a daily first, but a frontpage and a weekly fourth! I was extremely proud of how it turned out. I dedicated my first animation to Castle Crashers, because it's my favorite Newgrounds game ever. It just expels so much NG energy. You may all think Binding of Isaac is my favorite NG game, but nah. CC will always hold a special ass place in my heart. Shoutouts to Fulp and Paladin for blessing the world with a straight masterpiece.

In June, I made the artwork for 2021's Newgrounds Audio Deathmatch!:
